My take on the Vinted child trafficking situation

Also a big trigger warning since as the title says this mentions child trafficking/ selling literal children and there will be mentions of some sexual topics regarding the situation (It won't go into detail of that at all so no worries but there are mentions of the descriptions these sellers post) so don't read if you're sensitive to this.

I will also apologize for my grammer and spelling. Please do not see anything as a see as a 100% fact and feel free to correct me on anything.

So I think y'all all have heard about the Vinted being used to sell children. Literal children. With descriptions saying 'tight' 'doesnt scream much' and stuff like that aside from info like their age height and gender. I personally feel like it's fake. Like it's just some sickoes thinking it's funny and like it because they're getting attention.

First reason is that it's Vinted. A super popular app that has your info. Like they can see your bank acc used in the transactions and your address, the shipping info, your phone number, your email, sometimes they even make you do id checks for the age verification or if they think your account is suspicious. That's where it's already like how dumb can you be to use an app like that?? Especially since you're so easily traceable. Vinted definitely can read your chats and can report you for weird behavior.

Second is how would you even ship a child??? Usually the people who like "sell" the kids list them under kids toys so Vinted will always use the info of that to like determine shipping costs and such so no way you're able to ship a child, besides you'd of course get stopped by people who run the post office or whatever since you literally can't mail people. Now the most logical thing is ofc that people don't ship them but arrange a meet up with the buyer in the chat to then exchange it. That again is dumb as fuck since Vinted can read your chats so again they'll most likely trace your shit. Especially because if you arrange a meet up to exchange it, the "product" doesn't get shipped and Vinted will cancel the payment. Then again people can decide to pay in person or over chat but then again Vinted can see your chats and if you exchange the info there they'll literally know.

The other thing is genuinely who are you trying to target through Vinted like who decides "let's check Vinted to see if anyone is selling kids!!!" And again it's so out in the open like you're definitely getting reported immediately if someone sees that shit. I also tried looking on Vinted myself for it to see if what people saying was actually true but I genuinely didn't find anything. Even when putting in the creepy descriptions they put in the only close thing I found were those hyper realistic reborn baby dolls that get sold for more than a thousand euros and are usually bought by lonely moms yk. (NOT SHAMING THEM JUST SO YKWIM.) Maybe they already got mostly removed bc before my Vinted had a shutdown for a bit but I have no idea. But again I think it's so weird also bc I've seen people say it's mostly on Germany Vinted?? And that's a country where honestly child trafficking is pretty uncommon so if it's happening then you'd definitely assume it's at least more secretly and hidden right??? I'm just baffled by how dumb it is to do bc some other person dmed someone with a product up like that and asked "what will I get for my money" and they straight up said "a child" like you're immediately reported if you say that genuinely what are you thinking yk

My theory on how this even started is bc when you list kids toys even then Vinted allows you to add tags like weight, height or age range of who the toy is meant for basically as if it's clothing. I think someone just put all that info in and instead of putting in the weight of the toy they put in the like weight range of who they thought could use it and then someone thought maybe like "huh that's weird it's almost like they're describing a person" and maybe then pointed that out bc they were a bit freaked out abt it and some weirdos thought it was funny and started putting child descriptions under kids toys. I mostly think this bc when people first posted abt it it was just that and then later things like "tight" were added by weirdos and since it got more attention only now people are also adding things like "blows well" or "big🍒" which wasn't listed at first. I just think weirdos are doing this for the attention and those people still should get their hard drive checked bc doing it as a joke is still seriously weird. I am pretty sure this situation has reached the news by now by I haven't gotten any more info yet. If you do please tell me.

So that's my take on it. !! I AM NOT SAYING MY THEORY IS 100% TRUE!! WE SHOULD STILL SPREAD AWARENESS IN CASE IT ACTUALLY IS HAPPENING.

In a way I agree with you, I mean, its not that hard to access dark web to commit these type of crime or find another p3dophile (I'M NOT A PEDO I'M JUST TALKING FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF ONE). But yk, you can't doubt anything, especially on the internet, as I said, unfortunately and shockingly, it is not difficult to find pedophiles committing crimes even on the surface of the internet
