Day fourteen of blogginggg ☆ (techinically)/ Jeff bezos thinks we're stupid (part 2!!!)~

Helllloo again, and thanks for checking up on my blog. In the previous one, we went over the first half of the interview, so we'll get straight to the rest, but first as a quick refresher:

1, Jeff thinks we're scared of AI taking our jobs becuz ppl tell us to be

2, he's refusing to look at how AI is becuz he's soooo riiiight

3, thinks AI is friends and is replacing us because he is AI (jk)(idk for now i wouldn't be surprised)

Back to the interview:

Jeffy states 

"Can I give you (stammers) A different way to view this? Let's say if I'm a software engineer, I need to uplevel and think to myself 'what am really I doing?' (unnintelligble) What we really do is we identify problems, and then we fix them, and then the code is almost just a peice of execution that helps with that, but the real job is helping to solve them, does that make sense?"

PFFT NO XD That kinda reductionist thinking can be given to any job!

i can be chef who makes food to help get rid of somone's hunger. I solving a problem by making something! That's why they exist, for ppl to do!

"And that's not gonna go away, that's the kinda thing that humans can do, is figuring out 'oh ok, we want this', and they're gonna work with that tool to build the system, but we humans are never gonna run out of problems, and we're never gonna run out of the need solutions. And that's just the work is gonna be done at a higher level, a bulldozer instead of a shovel"

Again, we're not afraid of improvements, we're afraid of who's gonna be doing those, which isn't gonna be us if ppl keep up this flawed logic. 

anyways this ended quicker than I thought. Ofc, he's a billionare, and he's gonna be out of touch, but you'd he'd be kinda smart. This feels childish, that nothing bad is gonna happen. 

Also, the quotes from the interview were ditied a bit bc he stammers a lot (no diss to ppl who do it just made it hard to keep up ) so It;s not an exact copy of the dialogue word-for-word.
