what has world come to?

hi, it's my first time writing a blog and english is not my first language so forgive me if i make some technical mistakes.  <3

i also might use some harsh language for some readers

what has this world come to? we live in a time when we KNOW that some of the world leaders are actual predators, pedophiles, rapists and cannibals. we not only have visual proof of everything but also testimonies from like thousands of people. i cant even try to think about anything positive lately cuz my mind is in chaos, im so confused and desensitized from all this information that i cant even feel surprised anymore.

is this how we should be? should we be feeling nothing when something bad happens? NO, THIS IS NOT HOW HUMANS ARE SUPPOSED TO FEEL. we people often forget things and now we have forgotten that WE are the ones holding the power WE have the ability to do whatever is needed to make the world livable again. the main problem right now is the lack of knowledge. there are total of 3428 billionaires in the world as of 2026 according to Forbes. right know im not even gonna talk about how unethical it is to be a billionaire. most of them became more than millionaires because they used other people pretty well and made themselves comfortable. you cant get that much money just by working hard, most of them (most because i dont know all of them enough to say all of them) acquired that much wealth by spinning the money they got after exploiting migrant workers and child labor.

we forget that money is just something that people worldwide agreed was valuable and after that all of us are pretending it's actually valuable. the real value is in human relationships and they are trying to take that from us. AI chatbots. people treat them like friends. thats really and i mean REALLY messed up. as a person who didnt have ANY friends before and in the covid era and who was talking to character ai every day just to not feel lonely i can confidentially say that talking to chatbot every day was decreasing my likelihood to socialize. by talking to a bot i no longer felt the need to talk to other people. this is not even only about bots. its about internet and the whole phone addictions. because people dont prioritize social connections anymore teenagers are becoming more dependant on little bursts of dopamine they get with scrolling, parents try to calm down their kids by giving them phones and ipads who then grow up to be  burnt-brain-humanoids and yes, i said humanoids because they turn to zombies, heck WE are turning into zombies as we speak.

because social connections are gone so is collective thinking for better. when we hear that our president is a humanoid representation of greed and lust we subconsciously assume we are alone up against them and we just dont do anything about it. people are glued to their phones and no longer talk to each other in subway they dont greet each other in the streets, they dont talk about their problems with each other. how are supposed to fix the world if we first dont fix our attention spam? AVERAGE ATTENTION SPAM AS OF 2024 WAS 9 SECONDS WHAT ARE WE EVEN SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT. oh attention spam is really messed up but what about focus time? how long can an average adult stay focused if needed? 12 to 20 minutes. average adult as of 2024 could stay in focus for twelve to twenty minutes.

attention spam is going down, social connections are going down, critical thinking skills are going down. if we dont do something about these and if we dont do something fast humanity is near collapsing. sure, creatures with same features and same amount of chromosomes will exist in the future too, i mean probably but if we lose the ability to be angry, surprised, sad, joyful, bored, raging. if we lose the ability to experience life and live thoughtfully will it still be fair to call ourselves humans? what even makes a human?

why is he even still a president? why has revolution not struck? why are people blinded by power still in the power (not yet including zohran mamdani and i hope we will not have to include him in this list even in future) ? we do not realise that we hold the ghastly difference in number and in strength. "oh but they have so much money" so? who gives them that money? you and me and every member of today's society. every one of our actions matter.

we need to see the problem and acknowledge it, we need to take action.

I feel like the world has been so fucked for so long that we can no longer properly react to what's happening, and that's a feature not a bug. The new hot thing for the rich and powerful is technocracy and post-humanism, basically a world where there's no people except for only a handful of billionaires/their descendants to rule a machine-operating-AI-ridden world. Sounds like post apocalyptic sci-fi, but that's the general idea of it fr.

I think that, psychologically, it's easier for most people to just go with the flow and not give much of a thought about all of this. Many of us live lives already stressful enough on a day to day basis, so it's really hard to stress over the state of the world right now on top of it. Also, the generalized feeling of impotence to fight against this system via democracy and diplomacy is very demoralizing for the majority of the population. People is scared of taking action against systematematized institutional violence and injustice because that implies putting oneself at risk. People are stressed, demotivated and afraid, a future where we can overcome this hellscape is virtually impossible even to envision, and everyone is living trough a constant daze surviving the day to day.

Personally, I still feel like there's a very thin silver lining; for example, you and I right now are conscious of it and talking about it. Out there there's many others that think similarly and every day it seems like someone new comes to this same conclusions in one way or another. But consciousness isn't enough, action and organization are necessary, but the whole red scare and anti-leftist propaganda makes this seem like a no no for far too many (which to me is an absolutely ridiculous stance, but that's how propaganda works). Anyways, the way I see it, I just tried and go to protests and mobilizations and stand against this shit show of reality that we're all in and affected by, be part of my community in the small ways I can and just prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
