how do we feel about the hantavirus you guys?? I'm lowkey mad as hell because why the FUCK did they let 29 people off of the ship...? it's honestly so selfish imo. i do agree that it's sad, but they're not the only people with families and that Jake Rosmarin or wtv tf his name is probably just doomed us all with his little video. i also do think it's a bit suspicious that out of the 150+ passengers, he's the only one who's making videos about the ship's situation?? either way, idrk. they should've just sunk the ship bro. it was quite literally "save 150+ people or the whole world."
anyway, i really hope this isn't 2020 season 2. i highly doubt it is since you can only get the andes strain of hantavirus from prolonged contact with an infected person, which is also extremely rare, but you never know. 50 different strains of this goddamned disease and they got the ONE kind that's transmitted from human to human... 🤔
thankfully, hantavirus isn't as contagious (as i explained above), but it's a lot more deadly because fym a 38% mortality rate with no cure?? covid-19's mortality rate was ~1-2% and so many people still died!!!
i'm not tryna fearmonger or anything, but i'm just curious about your guys' opinions!! are we cooked or nah???

They should take actions just in case it can become global but i dont think its the biggest issue rn
As long as the WHO and other scientists take preventitive steps then we should be good

i don't think you should worry too much about it!! people are spreading way too much misinformation and we really don't understand the situation yet, so i think we should wait a little while for more info to come out.

I really really don't care. It feels like this kind of thing happens every year. I literally went to read an article about it and it told me about a separate time eight years ago that this spread even more than this now. There is generally too much fearmongering about nonsense
yeah, i totally agree. i hate how people try to spread panic more than facts. i'm aware that the disease isn't new and all, but a lot of people haven't heard of it since it's pretty rare, and a lot of people are taking advantage of that fact. all over my tiktok feed i'm seeing people lying about having it for clout
