remember covid and 2020? the reason that 2020 was the way it was was because everyone was cooped up inside and getting bored and crazy and that could 100% happen again if hantavirus does become a pandemic
however, since only like 7/150 people in the ship got it, it's not easily spread, and if everyone wears masks or something for like a week or something, hypothetically it can't be spread and the sick people will either die or get better and then yay! no more hantavirus
however, this will obviously not happen. Because not everyone will mask (if you remember the anti-maskers in 2020), but since it's not super duper contagious, herd immunity will probably cook it up and if the majority of people mask up, we'll be fine
hm... let's say hantavirus DOES become a pandemic. I'm thinking of a world very very similar to 2020. a large amount of people online just doing shit bc they're bored. maybe not faking DID and lip-syncing to penelope scott, but something of that nature, if you catch my drift
i think that making a vaccine will take longer than it did for covid, since the covid vaccine was one of the quickest ever it might be hard to beat that. I also think that rats will be a little more feared because it only takes you like breathing in a rat's air, and for covid you had to eat the bat, which is a little hard to accidentally do
maybe even rat experimentation for finding the vaccine. I'm calling that some people think it's wrong and hold protests about it or something because it's immoral, but it's literally how the scientists are figuring out the vaccine, so it's not a very popular argument.
i feel like if it becomes a pandemic, people would be much more set on staying inside, though, out of fear of literally dying. With covid, if you weren't an old person, they went outside anyway with a mask and had "pods" where they would all hang out only with each other (remember that?), but i think that won't happen as much with this one
hmm... idk. that's about all i have now. what do yall think?
