Guys how r y’all?
I wanna talk abt smth teenagers use a lot in memes. It’s those memes that joke abt pedophilia, like the ones abt Jeffrey Epstein or Sean "Diddy" Combs, or any “dark humor” meme that mentions it.
Tbh I think this type of stuff shouldn’t be allowed. When teens keep seeing these memes, it kinda normalizes it or makes it look like a joke. And that can mess with their minds and make some ppl think it’s a normal thing, when it’s actually a serious and harmful crime.

I know so many people who joke about it… We’re teens, and some of us have never experienced that and never will, so making jokes and stuff is really stupid and honestly upsetting. It’s kind of shattering to see how normalized it’s become to joke about real victims.

People at my school always joke about it, especially the epstein files. they also scream DURING CLASS that epstein and h!tler are awesome and their biggest inspiration in life. what is wrong with these people

Rlly just fucking freaks me out. I get dark humor and shit, can't say I haven't joked about sensitive topics, but I don't understand how someone can make a joke about epstein for example and not feel deeply uncomfortable and disturbed.

Ik, it's awful to see how much we've lost sensitivity as "humans" and society. They'd be calling "dark humour" any "joke" with racism, xenophobia, sexism and now pedophilia in it when it's not normal and it's not right at all.

I 100% agree, tiktok and instagram are really bad with allowing jokes” like this, joking about something thats still going on which half of people dont even seem to care, is damaging and so many people aren’t seeing this as something as serious as it is, also what the fuck is wrong with Snapchat, their reels are DISGUSTING ive seen pretty much full child abuse on there. Its nobody fault. It is just how our brains work as a whole. When you're a young person, it's like a trend. People always want to do what other people are doing on social media. Sadly, people my age are scared of being there themselves—nowadays some of them just have this same energy vibe just to be on top of it.

EXACTLY, these "jokes" are unfunny asf. As a teenager who was never physically abused or anything, but was sent horrible things online, having to hear these everyday is disgusting, and probably feels worse when you went through it irl. Genuinely, I think this type of people should seek help, this type of behavior isn't normal.

Hello, well, I’m not very good at English, but your blog caught my attention because I’ve been thinking about the same thing as you for days. I find it really disturbing how topics like pedophilia are used as memes. Honestly, I understand that people have dark humor, but this isn’t even dark humor.
In the Spanish-speaking community, every time someone mentions that this is wrong, people reply with things like “You weren’t invited to the island, right?” like… what the hell. It honestly surprises me how the media doesn’t talk about this, it’s just horrible.
In fact, in the Spanish-speaking community, a girl posted a video introducing a new member of her family, a newborn baby named Lia. People started making “fan edits” and videos about a BABY, and even accounts appeared where they made disgusting drawings of her. And her mother said that she wouldn’t know about it in the future… what the hell.

I personally disagree from my experience most non pedo people are the ones who meme about it and most non racists are people who joke about it, but could be just my experience and could be otherwise, to me I disagree.
even if the people making the jokes aren't doing that themselves, it still normalizes it for the people who are. even if that wasn't the case, i can't imagine how victims of those crimes feel hearing people make lighthearted jokes about the serious crime that gave them trauma. it just is not funny and does not need to be said, if that's the only joke a person can come up with maybe they just aren't very funny
