how did i ace calculus 1

i wasn't even sure i was going to pass calculus last semester, so the fact i got an A in it is mind-boggling... and i am even more exasperated now in calc 2, in my first lesson. first half of the lecture, i was keeping up, but then at the second half it is like a switch flicked off and i could not understand a single word that was being said by my professor.

i should not have been allowed to continue from calc 1.
