My teacher recently said she will give us an assingment that u have to use ai for writing an ESSAY and when i asked her if i could write the essay without ai she said no because not everyone can write an essay like me and it would be unfair,which dosen't make sense because i'm taking the highest level of english at my school,EVERYONE in my class can write the essay by themselves,and its so annoying because i really wanted to write that opinion essay ,it gives me an excuse to yap about things that i like ,and i also don't do well on tests because i suck at spelling so an opinion essay would be great cuz i always get high scores in essays,JUST LET ME WRITE THE DAMM ESSAY WITHOUT AI PLEASE.

she belives that ai is the future and that we should use ai,and if i will write it myself she will most likely give me a zero unfortunatley,i think i will try to tell her that its against my morals and i don't feel comftable using ai,hopefully it will change her mind

That's a horrible teacher honestly. Instead of teaching the idiots who can't write a essay, she tries to pull the whole class down to the idiot level???
the thing is,everyone in my class is capable of writing an essay,she taught us how to write last year,so it dosen't even make sense.

in the workplace they force you to use AI. it sucks but they do. managers are giving insane workloads and tell the remaining staff that they haven't laid off to start using AI to make up for it. it wouldn't be right if this were for every single assignment, but it seems like your teacher is doing this for ONE assignment (probably for this reason). talk to your teacher directly about it. ask their reasoning for the assignment. explain your point of view and listen to theirs. ultimately they decide your grade and if you do not agree with their marking schema it is always an option to go to admin.
she said it's because she wants to make our lives easier ,i also asked if i could just write it myself but she said no,which i don't understand because i'm still doing the assingment and i plan on writing the essay based off her requirements so it dosen't matter if i use ai or not.
