My politics views then and now

Since everyone liked my ex conservative to leftist post I’ll do a more detailed one on my former and current politics 

Abortion

Then: I was politically pro choice but morally pro life then I took a pro life stance that made exceptions for rape or incest then I took an even more hard lined stance that was pro life not exceptions except for the mothers life after talking to a pro lifer

Now: I’m pro choice, I care about a women’s bodily autonomy and believe that woman should have the choice to terminate a pregnancy or not 

Feminism 

Then: I was staunchly anti feminist and believe that feminism is only necessary for woman in the Middle East or Pakistan when woman get acid thrown in their face 

Now: I’m an intersectional feminist. In fact my laptop sticker says smash the patriarchy. I consider myself a gender abolitionist and want gender roles gone. 

BLM

Then: Anti blm and was generally sympathic to cops and thought that if cops used excessive force it was because the black person was resisting arrest. Most blm protests were not peaceful and that races were all equal in society.  

Now: pro blm and acab all the way! I also believe there’s systematic racism that society needs to overcome, black people deserve reparations and our media likes to insight race wars to get different groups of color against each other 

LGBTQ 

Then: lgb minus the t. I watched a lot of Blaire White and thought trans men and women weren’t men or woman. I also didn’t understand non binary people 

Now: pro lgbtq and pro trans. I got blocked by Blaire White on Twitter. I consider myself a trans ally.

Healthcare and college 

Then: affordable but not free since that would be socialism 

Now: free healthcare and college. An educated populace is important and it shouldn’t be a luxury to go to school 

Economics: 

Then: anti socialism and was pro capitalist 

Now: socialist and anti capitalist 

Ice: 

Then: ice should be reformed 

Now: abolish ice 

Foreign policy: 

Then: pro Israel, and hawkish with foreign policy 

Now: freedom for everyone everywhere, (Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan etc) 

Environment: 

Then: believe in global warming 

Now: we need to do things to combat climate change 

On Cuba

Then: anti Cuba

Now: realized Cuba is doing poorly due to us sanctuons 

Voting 

Then: I voted Republican in 2023 

Now: vote Democrat but understand that liberals uphold capital and fascism and conservatives do it too! I debate about voting third party or Democrat again
