hey guys! this one will be a bit different from my normal blog posts. i make music under the name chao(s) garden and just released a cover of "x-mas time is here". in this blog post i'll give y'all a little insight into how i made it! i started with the piano/synth arrangement and used ableton's soft piano pack and brainworx oberhausen synth. then for the guitars i used my squier classic vibe jazzmaster with the universal audio showtime amp plugin and my pedal board (death by audio fuzz war, earthquaker special cranker, tc electronic june-60, jhs 3 series delay, and catalinbread soft focus deluxe). for the drums i used the ableton session drums and impact soundworks gameverb on the snare. then the bass was my squier classic vibe jazz bass into positive grid biasfx2 mixed with a di signal. all the tracks are summed into their own groups with mk.pre from audio hertz on each group. finally, on the master i have caelum audio tape cassette 2. if there's anything else you guys want to know, please leave a comment!
