Hi there.
I like to drive up in the mountains and it's helped me cope with 2020. I found plenty of new spots I plan on going back to this coming summer, when the water's not winter cold and the pandemic restrictions aren't as intense. Most of the areas I cover are the general North Carolina BRP and the surrounding (random ass) dirt roads that I feel comfortable to drive in my civic. (Don't believe all the reviews you read online. If you absolutely understand the size and whatever of your car and know how to turn your tires, you got this 🙌🏻)
2021 has already had it's moments and 2020 already feels like a dream. What???? But anyways, here are a bunch of photos taken by an amateur iPhone owner who happens to filter on vsco from January allllllll the way to December, our deadliest month since peak.

i'm surprised i captured the third one exactly how it looked in person. it's lake lure, north carolina and literally half an hour after that photo, the fog cleared up and it was sunny. and yes! though i go to the mountains to escape, i am always happy (and relieved) to see representation in the mountains! it needs to be heard there just as much in the cities.
