Geopolitical Trend Hopper

No bs shit of my writings like I generally do, but it's funny how easy it is to ignore one situation for another, especially the left. First was Ukraine being completely abandoned by the media cause of Palestine, and ever since the Donald Trump peace plan was made and is currently being implemented in a more or so state (even though it's failing), we see the left completely abandon it entirely or ignore it, changing their views on Sudan. Therefore, this is just a geopolitical trend hopper event, one new world event going on, and everyone forgets about the other, and then the cycle repeats.

Certainly these are trends for many, but that statement also detracts from the people who are actually informed and multi-encompassing in terms of their political beliefs. Those who support liberation for all; Ukrainian, Palestinian, Sudanese, etc.

But I must also make aware the differences between Ukraine and Palestine/Sudan.

Ukraine is undergoing a war, although citizens are being killed (a warcrime of course), it is not the same as what is occuring in Palestine and Sudan. Palestine is undergoing a genocide by zionist forces. They have nowhere to escape to. Similarly to the Palestinian, Sudanese are undergoing a genocide. The UAE-backed civil war has escalated to RSF raping and killing so many people, the blood soaked streets of el-Fashir being notable.

And also, the Western support. Palestine and Sudan has little to western support that could be meaningful (by this, I mean by governments and more mainstream and powerful organisations rather than say Greta and the other activists of the Global Flotilla). Of course, there is little humanitarian aid in Ukraine, it's mostly weapons so that the West can fight its imperialist war against Russia, the Eastern imperialist. But it is something, and there is still some humaitarian support for Ukraine. Palestine and Sudan has nothing to defend itself from these powerful figures, unless you include the independant actors, like Hamas, who attempt to fight against these imperialists

it's something that became most apparent to me when people abandoned ukraine in favor of palestine as you mentioned. it's just virtue signaling
