(!THIS IS NOT TARGETED TO PPL WHO LIVE IN HOUSEHOLDS WHERE IT COULD BE DANGEROUS TO NOT AGREE WITH YOU PARENTS, OR PEOPLE WHO ARE ADDICTED TO C.AI !)
I feel like it so many "alternative" persons everywhere who dosen't get that you can support stuff like AI, Trump and Israel and be alt at the same time. Being alternative is so much more then just the clothing. It's how you act, what you listen to, and politics. and if you disagree I'm sorry to say this but you're a poser.
It's stuff like this that destroys our planet and us as persons. and I'm just so tired of people not realizing this. We have done so much damage to the earth and it's almost too late to reverse it. and we still continue to destroy it. It's just so dumb.
(sorry if I said anything weird I'm writing this in the middle of the night)

"Addicted to c.ai" is an issue on its own though, forming relationships can be very difficult in real life but if someone is ADDICTED to ai chatbots you need to come back to reality, its disturbing that we can defend this dependence on ai

no- please do target it towards those with addictions to ai. they’re still using it despitr having an addiction you’re going against every moral of being alt by using ai. addiction is no excuse for someone’s shitty behavior

I really agree with what you're saying about it being not just clothing. The whole point is that the clothing came as a way to outwardly show the individual's political views and music, to help connect with other similar people. It makes me really sad when I see people doing "alt shein hauls" or saying that they are alternative just because they dress in all black with rips and spikes and have a different hairstyle while they support people trying to take away human rights and just generally being shitty.
At their core, alternative subcultures are about politics, music, disconformity, and challenging the ideals and views that Rich White Man Incorporated is trying to make you fall into. This means more than just wearing 'different' clothes. If you like the look of a subculture, great! Research it, learn about its history, what it stands for, and try to live by its messages. Otherwise you are just playing dress up.
DIY is part of a lot of different subcultures. Go to a second hand shop and for the love of god don't use temu or shein, or fast fashion brands of any kind. Use scraps from parts of clothes you've cut up to make other clothing items more interesting. Do It Yourself. Don't let Rich White Man Incorporated make you think that buying brand new clothes is always the way to go.
Music is really important too. Learn about the small bands without the record label deals that are part of the scene in your area. If you can, go to their gigs to support them. Of course I'm not saying that bigger bands that DO have the record label deals can't be listened to. If you are emo through and through but you like to sometimes listen to idk katie perry or something, go for it. People like her and big bands like MCR and Nirvana are popular for a reason. Just try to support small, local alt artists too!
Politics. oh god politics. I can't be bothered to write much more or this will turn into a full essay lol but just don't be a dick. Racism isn't alternative. Queerphobia isn't alternative. Supporting Donald Trump isn't alternative. You are just a dickhead and no one wants you here.
Anyway lol basically I agree with you is what I am trying to say. All of the "you"s in the above paragraphs are not directed towards anyone specific, just generally towards people who say they are alt while not upholding the core beliefs and ideas and stuff. One day I will make a video essay on this lol but anyway yeah feel free to not read any of that I went on a bit of a rant. This is just a topic I am very passionate about haha :)

i think it should apply to people who are "addicted" to c.ai
but otherwise yeah i agree, its completely against the subcultures ideology
