im talking about the 2024 horror movie :T
i think watched it a few weeks ago for 180 pesos a ticket (which is 3 dollars) because of a promo with my brother and aunt and it was pretty meh. now im not a movie connoisseur, but one thing id say to that other person that at the same cinema we saw the movie at.. its not "good" bro trust me.
ill be going off purely from what i can remember, but the movie is about a pregnant (keep that in mind) realtor who has to sell a large house to make ends meet. but uh oh unfortunately a killer wants her dead and shes gone into LABOR while stuck at the house???
i was writing a recap starting from the beginning but decided to not add that cause it was getting pretty long and thats kinda lame.
some spoilers if u care
now the movie itself wasnt that bad. the cinematography was pretty neat and the way it framed the killer was cool. like when hes on screen, he would either have his back turned, his face hidden, or just obscured by shadows.
the plot starts of pretty slow, and i think the killer was introduced halfway. before that, u would get loud noises as "jumpscares" and a bunch of eerie music.
the lady (whos named natalie) started being in labor while the killer was chasing her, and my brother was so PEEVED. he wanted the lady to run faster but like how would she do that if the baby wants out??
honestly all i could remember around that part of the movie was my brother being so close to shouting in the cinema. i was getting kinda embarassed abt it but i gave up trying to stop him.
at the end of that very long chase scene where natalie managed to call the cops, she and the killer fall from the window at the second floor and pass out. i kinda thought it was over cause the cops arrived and u would think shes safe.
but it kept going and the cops died, meaning she had to fend for herself AGAIN.
she gets the shotgun from the front of the cop car and rushes to the small mausoleum near the house, where the owners were buried. i guess its kinda revealed here that the killer is the son of the deceased owners, who had been dead for a long time
i think???
anyways natalie hides in the mausoleum where she GIVES BIRTH and bites the umbilical cord off with her teeth.
since the killer obviously heard her giving birth, he comes to her location but shes gone. and then she manages to shoot the killer with the shotgun while holding her baby, which was a pretty badass shot, but of course theres gun recoil which makes her hit her head and pass out.
she wakes up at the hospital and the babys fine, so yay movie over.
SIKE UR HERE FOREVER!!!
the movies not complete and its been going off for SO long. thats my gripe about this movie: the amount of fakeouts. why would the movie still go on even though shes already at the hospital and pretty safe?? lemme tell u.
the killers still alive and the police asks natalie to confirm his identity. when she confirms it and leaves, she checks on her baby, where she gets the fucking idea of killing the killer??? so takes her baby, turns on the fire alarm, and goes to the killers room. but when she comes back to him, uh oh hes gone and managed to escape, killing every cop.
like.. the cops? the ones with guns??? why is this movie so insane yet so boring at the same time.
in a panic, she tries to leave the hospital but the killer finds her for the THIRD TIME and wants to kill her. this leads to another goddamn chase scene......
i dont remember how it happened but she manages to kill him and then she gets to walk all badass out of the building with her baby.
like WHAT.
this movie made me leave befuddled, my brother fuming, and my aunt happy (i think) cause it was her first time watching a movie in theaters.
it was like they were walfway through the script when they realized that the plot was kinda boring, so they decided to cram in the most confusing ending u could think of for this film specifically.
all my brother could remember was the cops dying so thats that.
shout out mausoleum baby.
