Is it just me or does the purple pfp “trend” seem kinda weird?

Hii!! AL3X here!!

If yall are on tt you probably know what im talking about. And if you aren’t it’s about a “trend” of changing your own profile pic purple to support/raise awareness for the women in South Africa. Now, I do really like that we are raising awareness but if we’re being for real problems in South Africa has always been a problem. Why are people just now raising awareness? And don’t get me even started on the green profile pictures…why do we have to separate the colours for genders? We’re all just humans anyway. Now this might trigger a lot of people but it’s just kinda off, I’ve seen a lot of people changing their pfp back to normal and they take it most of the time as a trend. And just overall, there is also much more ways to spread awareness other than changing your pfp for a week. You may not be able to donate which is totally understandable but you could create videos for support which would be way more seen than just a profile picture. Sorry if this upsetted some of you, but I’m just saying how I feel. If you disagree or want to correct me on something, then please leave a comment!
