VINE IS RETURNING!!!

after almost ten years of having been archived (and later deleted), the social media platform "vine" has been revived by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, under the name of diVine. the platform was widely popular amongst younger millennials and older gen-z- it was a platform on which users could post six-second videos. many of these videos became loved and remembered for their comedic aspects. people still quote some of the most famous vines today- they never went stale, in contrast to the new-age culture of memes lasting a mere twelve hours before being killed. elon musk, Twitter's current CEO, thought of bringing a generative ai version of the platform back in 2022, but nothing ever came of it. but now, Dorsey has decided to bring the platform back under a new name- and on top of that, he plans to keep generative ai off the platform. some people have been suspecting that this ban of ai generated content may have been done to use the platform as a means to train generative ai models, but for now that's mostly just suspicion. so, what are your thoughts? share them in the comments below!!
