if you're ever considering working fast food because you just need a job to make money (no one ACTUALLY wants to work fast food for the benefit of the company) NEVER work at subway because HOLYY that was the worst experience I've ever had. If i had the choice to go back in time and have to either relive working at subway or be 16 again and not be able to change anything, I would rather do that then have to work at subway again. I got hired on the spot so OFC the job was going to be sht. I was also told I'd be making 16 an hour and got hired just to be told I'll be making 13 an hour. Aside from that i really liked my manager but he put me with this girl named Skye (holy chopped btw) she was my age and had been working there for a month and all she did was put me on dishes and didn't teach me a single thing. She did that for about 3 days and she told me to "Pull bread" like i knew what the hell that was. I tried to figure out what the hell to do and she went up to the line to help people and completely ignored me, then went she got back she told me i'm doing it wrong got mad and told the manager....WTF! after working with her for about a month straight and working overtime every week because i was right next door (literally) and the manager would call me in early all the time or cover his shifts, but after putting up with that for a month we had a new hire who my manager almost put with Skye to train and i stopped him and had her work with me so i was able to ACTUALLY teach her unlike Skye did which i thought was really cool but me and her got to be really good friends until some crazy sht happened (i'll talk about that in a later post if i get enough comments or something). but aside from the constant absensy, nasty attitude, and stealing tips, the place was always a mess. We always had bad dishes (because of skye btw, she said "YOU'RE DOING THE DISHES WRONG" like BTCH YOU are the only one whos complained about it and literally everyone KNOWS that its YOUR dishes that are left bad with food STILL STUCK ON THEM. We had a horrible bug problem, nats everywhere landing in peoples food and spiders crawling out from under the bread cart, i pulled chicken from the fridge and there was just a fly sitting in there dead waiting to be consumed by an unknown customer who for some reason said to themselves "I should stop by subway and order the worst food known to man, Chicken bacon ranch." One of our drink dispensers had a glob of goo coming off of it, who knows how many people consumed that. anyways think thats all i have for now, I have plenty of other things to talk about but i'll take it on post at a time. If anyone else has worked at subway and feel the same plz lemme know.
