Recently Ive been doing a good amount of decluttering and organizing of my apartment to prepare for an upcoming move.
Excited to not have to deal with my asshole landlord anymore., I just hate the process of packing, moving etc. Feel like I've done it way too many times to count in thepast few years. I'd just like to have a few years of peace where I can call a place my home, and make it the way I like.
The notion of buying a home in this economy for Gen Z is impossible. At this point Im fine just renting till I die.
The depressing state of the economy/housing market aside -- decluttering my closet has had me thinking:
How do I curate my style?
I know thats a question that requires personal introspection into one's self identity and how they want to be perceived. But was curious to other peoples thoughts on how to go about finding my style? What kind of styles would you say you guys have and how did they come to be?

Making note of certain styles/colors/patterns you like when you come across them definitely helps!! I made a Pinterest board of all that so I don’t forget about it lol. I also get a lot of my inspiration from popular styles in past decades like the 60s, 70s, and 80s
I'd love to see your pinterest board -- if you're willing to share! Just curious as to what other peoples styles look like too! Just for fun :)

It can be tricky because sometimes I like certain styles on other people but just not on me. For example, I love things with frills and florals but I know I feel way more comfortable with a darker more grungy style. You could try just trying on clothes rather than buying stuff right away? Like stop by different kinds of stores and just try some statement pieces on. See what feels right to you.
Honestly, I havent really bought anything since highschool haha so at this point Im just holding on to memories of old self.
I dont have the space anymore for my old self, definitely will take your point --- not buying anything until Ive cleaned out my closet lol.
I recently got a sewing machine as well so thinking to maybe just tailor some stuff
