Welcome to this blog entry. Here you will find mini-reviews of movies I have watched but won't dedicate a whole entry on, either because of lack of time or things to say. I probably won't put every movie I watch since I watch at least one every week and working on this entry is quite time consuming.

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the movie for it is visually
interesting. The movie doesn't follow the book but sometimes makes
references to it which is something I liked. The ambiance is great and
it's perfect for the spooky season.
However, I did not full enjoy the way the characters were portrayed. Neither did I enjoy the need to explain the reason behind the Headless Horseman who could have just been a ghost. The movie opens A LOT of doors. Many things could have been explained but have not which is deceiving for it could have been very interesting. I also understand that the movie distances itself from the original story, and I really liked that, but some changes weren't handled correctly. For instance, the way it deals with witchcraft is different but I don't think associating it with Satan was a good idea.
The movie left me pretty frustrated with a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I feel a bit torn between my affection for it and its wonderful atmosphere, and the frustrating feeling of something unachieved.
