I wanna hear about different people's take on fascism, like obviously it's bad but yall's opinions on how it can slowly originate or take place in a state where we often don't expect it to.
I believe fascism can be laid out on a spectrum because there're such varying aspects of it that it can be confused with other terms; and it can easily go unnoticed, especially in times like ours where politics is so layered and propaganda is so ingrained into our daily lives that a good chunck of people think they're immune to it.
I have some stuff written out about this topic (mainly in context of a modern democracy) so I might post it here but I'm posting this first so that I get a wider view on the topic and see if I can get some more insight into it from different perspectives.
Please drop below your views related to the said topic or anything that concerns itself with the threat to the governance of people and negatively affects their lives.

Fascism is comforting to those that aren't negatively affected by it's consequences which is why it's idealogies can be spread around.
There's comfort in having a definitve answer on how to live and what to believe and nationalistic right-wringers give people exactly that
This is also why a lot of immigrants tend to lean towards extremist ideas. People just want security

You might hate me for this (and let me be clear, I am radically opposed to fascism, it's horrific), but I understand why it can be. Fascism is sometimes! just an EXTREMELY radical and aggressive response to oppression. I know people who hold similar views, and they are not villains. These are people who have experienced violence themselves and see the unpleasant consequences of a lack of control over migration. My take is, if we want less fascism in the world, we shouldn't just insult everyone, but rather address the root causes. And often, there are legitimate reasons
You're actually right! Because fascism originates in places which have been dealt cruelly by the rest of the world. This reason is used by the people in power to make the people hate the outer world which is easy for alienation and extreme nationalism often seen in fascist states. And yeah I also agree that we should treat people right if we don't want fascism cuz it's all just a sick cycle of hate and violence
