I decided to check some political discussions after a while and immediately got sick of it.
Basically every place on the internet quickly turns into an echo chamber of some sort.
There's no place for moderates and for civil political discussion.
On one side you get "liberals" openly celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk and cheering for islamic communist.
On the other you have conservatives being openly racist and believing that the jews control the world.
And as a right-winger myself, of course "my side" pisses me way more.
I know that commie is gonna have dumb takes and that I am usually gonna disagree with a liberal.
But I hate when my ally starts spitting actual anti-semitism, or sucking russian dick.
The thing is, those takes come mostly from younger people, so I really hope they will grow up a little and realise that the world isn't black and white, and you can be left or right and still remain a decent human being.
Just so you know, I am not an american, but there's not much point in talking about czech politics, though they annoy me also.

You're not wrong. I am an American, and I have separated myself from all political content on social media, as well as political discussion with anybody. I made an account on this website to relive a part of my youth, and also to escape the regular political echo chambers you find on the mainstream social media websites. While I have not run into any conservative blog posts yet, I do repeatedly see liberal posts quite often, and 10/10 times, the person plays the extremist identity politics game, and they clearly build their personality around how they vote. American politics have become disgusting, in that if you are left-wing, or if you are right-wing, you become a mindless sheep who thinks how your favorite news network tells you to think. While my values are more conservative in nature, I couldn't care less about the republican party, as BOTH sides struggle with this issue of "identity politics." It's adorable to me that people think that making an enemy out of everyone who doesn't think like you is going to do any good for our nation.
But hey, it usually takes zombies burning the candles at both ends to realize, "oh, darn, we aren't going to have a candle left soon." Would sure be nice if they would realize that without having to burn the candle at all.

I am not american but the american politics all over is sickening. I am still a kid but as much I have observed, and studied my country people here aren't woke, for them it is either right or left (for most not all). My family is radically right and honestly the left wing opposition is kind of weak it is now it is rising but still very faulty. I from the bottom of my heart despise the right, and left but more right because it is in power right now. For untill last year I was with heart eyes right winger but this year has been eye opening because I have been getting real education on this topic because it is stigmatised. The PM chosen by the people has openly called himself divine and born because of divine forces, and have even made a movie about himself. Now he's got that charm and he is loved by a lot of people outside my country but here as I am here I researched on him and goodness the things he has done to spread the propaganda and hide the facts. The people are crazy they don't look up facts they're blind faith followers. We're doomed. I really think we need a third big party that is a mix of both right and left wing policies.

I'm pretty left leaning myself, but I hate how political discussions are handled online. You basically have to be an expert on every little topic, and must have a strong opinion on everything. And if your opinion goes against what that group collectively agrees with, you get called every buzzword in the book. That, and the truth or most reasonable option gets ignored because it isn't "extreme enough."

based truth lol i'd say more but we agree it's an issue on both sides and it's just gotten out of hand.
have a feeling it's only going to get worse sadly.. but never know might be surprised with what happens in the world. only can hope people improve then decline as a society then again it seems that way time by time... i guess we will just see what happens instead.
