Pet Peeve: "Maximalism"

I love Maximalism. But in my opinion, I just hate it when people go extreme with it, trying hard enough to get themselves eye-catching. I get it! 

Yet some of us misconceptualize what Maximalism & Minimalism is which I despise so much. They define it by aesthetic and I think the quantity of the items really counts. Even consumption too!Just because when people practice ethical consumption like thrifting, does not mean excessive buying is an exemption.
