Physical media

I LOVE physical media, and I’ve been slowly but surely growing my collection, I made this (unorganized) list of different physical media types/ a wishlist of things I want to add to my collection. 

Hope you enjoy!!

1. DVDs 

I currently have a few of these, mainly from thrift stores, my dad dug up our old dvd player for me. I hope to get more in the future as I’m sick and tired of streaming services ( particularly Disney+ 😒) 

2. CDs 

I’ve also gotten a few of these and I hope to get more! I listen to them on this cool music player my uncle gave to me, it plays records, cassettes, cds, radio, and connects to bluetooth!! Im obsessed with it :3

3.books 

I personally prefer getting my books from the library because it’s better for the environment, cheaper, and also I just love the library; but there are also some books that I would like to own for myself! Right now I do own a few books and I need to get done with those before I buy more. 

4. Comics and/or manga

I own a couple comic books and the first five spy X family books and I would love to have more! Particularly spy x family bc I need to get caught up on that lol

5. Magazines 

I love magazines!! Right now I’m only subscribed to one and it’s free for Missouri residents (Missouri conservationist) I would love to read more, but I don’t really know where to get them

6.walkman 

I don’t think this really counts as “physical media” but I think it would be cool to have a walk man so I could listen to my CDs on the go

7. Video games

Honestly, I’m not that much of a video game person, I only have a switch that I play Mario kart and Stardew Valley on, but I would like to get a DS to play Tamagotchi life on, and one day in the far future if I ever get a PC or whatever you need to play these on I would also like to get the Sims, Minecraft, planet, coaster, and planet zoo

8. Computer

Navigating space hey on mobile is a nightmare, and also I like the concept of having a home computer to keep social media separate from my phone (I have a Pinterest addiction) I think I’ll have to ask for one for Christmas because I’m getting tired of playing Roblox on mobile

9. Flip phone/dumb phone 

Once again, this isn’t really physical media, but idc. I would totally downgrade to a dumb phone if I ever get a computer, flip phones are so cutesy:3

10. Typewriter

They’re probably expensive so I don’t think I’ll be getting one soon, but I like the concept of having one

11. Vinyl/cassettes

I prefer CDs, but I think these two are cool too, if I get an album on final I would have to be obsessed with it because vinyl is way too expensive but I’m open to adding it to my collection!!

12. Photo albums

I’m making one out of a sketchbook! I need to get more of my photos printed off though.

13. iPod 

Some guy on YouTube made a documentary thing about switching to an iPod for a couple weeks or something and it was life-changing.

14. Pager

I just think there neat 

15. Camera/video camera

I would love to get a digital camera! I love the way photos and videos look on them! 

16. CRT TV 

When I was little, we had one of these and I would watch Dora the Explorer and Blue’s Clues on VHS. Unfortunately, we got rid of it /: but I would love to have one! Like the cameras, I love the way they make stuff look!

17. Novelty rotary phone

I think about the Garfield Rotary phone at least twice a month
