Lessons I've Learned from Language Learning that Apply to Social Work

Hey friends! For my first official blog entry, I wanted to combine my day job as a Medical Social Worker with one of my favorite hobbies: learning foreign languages.

It might seem like these two things have nothing in common—one is about navigating complex systems for patients, the other is about flashcards and grammar—but I've found they share some crucial lessons in empathy and communication.
