✰They say we should feel sympathetic for Charlie Kirk might seem charitable on the surface, but it fundamentally misreads the situation and misplaces our empathy. Here’s why this perspective is flawed.

1. He is a powerful person, not a victim.

2. His "problems" are the result of his own choices.

❥He has also repeatedly spread the "Great Replacement" theory, a racist conspiracy that has inspired mass shooters, and made degrading comments about LGBTQ+ people.
❥Our limited empathy should be reserved for the victims of these hateful and dangerous ideas, not for the person who spreads them.

Some might think "maybe it wasn't possible for them to come irl so they might've watched him on TV?" did they come tell you this? And the point isn't even if they watched him or not. It's the fact ppl make more and more stuffs up just to make others feel bad for him, forgetting how much of a bad person he was.

I agree. Giving him the title as "The Result of Political Violence" shouldn't be treated like a big event... Why did the media ask sympathy for the people doesn't know him and now he's famous for his death, which is so disgusting for these people.

A victim of a political murder with the general population framing the death on his 'free speach', I'm not angry nor happy that he died, I'm angry at the people who's justification for the murder was "he was asking for it" and "he deserves it"(and they are literally crying from laughing)because that is so short sighted. If you wanted to go argue with him, you had the chance (and I value the people who did), but now we can't. The best revenge would have been to change his mind (if you so wanted to do so). But it's cool to read other people's opinions, because I want to live in a world with people of differentiating opinions, because that's how we have a, let's say interesting world.

Omg dw I get what you say! :)) it's just I stated that we shouldn't feel bad for a horrible person. Like suppose a criminal or a person with a criminal mindset (a.k.a Charlie) dies, it's just weird to feel bad for them because in that way we're excusing their past actions. Again, I understand what you mean and sometimes it's okay to feel bad for a dead person, everyone has different feelings. It's just I stated my personal opinion 🩷. And thanks a lot for engaging! :3
