✰They say we should feel sympathetic for Charlie Kirk might seem charitable on the surface, but it fundamentally misreads the situation and misplaces our empathy. Here’s why this perspective is flawed.
⋆˚꩜。𐔌՞. .՞𐦯⋆. 𐙚 ˚
1. He is a powerful person, not a victim.
❥Sympathy should be for people who are vulnerable or facing unfair hardship.
❥Charlie Kirk is a wealthy, influential media figure with a massive platform.
❥Criticism and satire are not bullying; they are normal accountability for public figures.
❥He has the power and resources to defend himself, unlike many people his rhetoric affects.
⋆˚꩜。𐔌՞. .՞𐦯⋆. 𐙚 ˚
2. His "problems" are the result of his own choices.
❥He built his career on a strategy of spreading provocative and misleading statements.
❥You cannot make a living by provoking people and then play the victim when they react.
❥The backlash he faces is a direct and predictable consequence of his chosen business model.
❥Feeling sorry for him for getting criticism is like feeling sorry for a boxer for getting hit.
⋆˚꩜。𐔌՞. .՞𐦯⋆. 𐙚 ˚
3. It asks us to care about the wrong people.
❥This argument demands we focus on the hurt feelings of a powerful man.
❥It ignores the real harm done by his specific statements. For instance, he has suggested that a woman who is raped by her father should be forced to carry the pregnancy to term, stating the "Silver lining" is she could put the baby up for adoption. This is a grotesque dismissal of trauma and bodily autonomy.
❥He has also repeatedly spread the "Great Replacement" theory, a racist conspiracy that has inspired mass shooters, and made degrading comments about LGBTQ+ people.
❥Our limited empathy should be reserved for the victims of these hateful and dangerous ideas, not for the person who spreads them.
⋆˚꩜。𐔌՞. .՞𐦯⋆. 𐙚 ˚
4. It's a strategy to avoid responsibility.
❥Framing him as a victim is a tactical move, not a genuine call for compassion.
❥The goal is to make any criticism of him seem like a personal attack, so his actual statements—like the one about father-daughter rape—are not debated on their horrifying merits.
❥This is used to shut down legitimate debate and fact-checking.
❥It is an attempt to shield him from being held accountable for the impact of his words. "B-but he got shot" sybau💔🥀.
⋆˚꩜。𐔌՞. .՞𐦯⋆. 𐙚 ˚
✰In short: Feeling sorry for Charlie Kirk is a profound misplacement of empathy. He is a powerful man who faces criticism for advocating for policies that would force children to bear their rapist's baby and for spreading racist conspiracies. Our concern should be with the people actually traumatized and endangered by his rhetoric, not with protecting him from accountability.
𖧷UPDATE 𖧷

Some might think "maybe it wasn't possible for them to come irl so they might've watched him on TV?" did they come tell you this? And the point isn't even if they watched him or not. It's the fact ppl make more and more stuffs up just to make others feel bad for him, forgetting how much of a bad person he was.
... I'm going to get a lot of backlash for this one but I stand by my opinion. So remember it's just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

Thank youuuu. I don't really agree that he should've died since he was just a podcaster and played no major political roles that I know of. But why tf would I feel bad for someone who hates me? (A mexican and a woman)

Agreed! It is hard to feel sympathetic towards a man who has spent his life spreading hatred. :/

I agree. Giving him the title as "The Result of Political Violence" shouldn't be treated like a big event... Why did the media ask sympathy for the people doesn't know him and now he's famous for his death, which is so disgusting for these people.

he had fucking children, being fatherless WILL fuck over a child. even if your too jaded to see that he was human too you should recognise the pain that all his family is feeling. no one should die over an opinion. you cant pick and choose who should die. no one should be dammed to death by a fellow human, even assholes.
paipai
you can stop at saying he wasn't a victim. retard

A victim of a political murder with the general population framing the death on his 'free speach', I'm not angry nor happy that he died, I'm angry at the people who's justification for the murder was "he was asking for it" and "he deserves it"(and they are literally crying from laughing)because that is so short sighted. If you wanted to go argue with him, you had the chance (and I value the people who did), but now we can't. The best revenge would have been to change his mind (if you so wanted to do so). But it's cool to read other people's opinions, because I want to live in a world with people of differentiating opinions, because that's how we have a, let's say interesting world.

i think also that, we dont need to feel bad for charlie kirk, but also glorifying and feeling good about his death is, in an indirect way, supporting his ideals

mf's even turning him into a literal COIN. the meat-riding is crazy.

yea I can see where your coming from but I guess it just human nature to feel empathy if someone killed, espiacllay for their opinion. Maybe he wasn't the best person but yea people shouldn't focus too much on him when there people dying for greater cuasess.
Omg dw I get what you say! :)) it's just I stated that we shouldn't feel bad for a horrible person. Like suppose a criminal or a person with a criminal mindset (a.k.a Charlie) dies, it's just weird to feel bad for them because in that way we're excusing their past actions. Again, I understand what you mean and sometimes it's okay to feel bad for a dead person, everyone has different feelings. It's just I stated my personal opinion 🩷. And thanks a lot for engaging! :3
