Cassette tapes

What are y’all’s thoughts on Cassettes? We got a cassette player from a friend for our last Birthday/Christmas and a custom mix tape of our favorite songs and gave us nostalgia for old media we used to listen to growing up with our family. Recently we picked up a nice (a bit rare) tape from the band Carry Out at a local Spanish records shop and it screams *muppets* haha, though it’s kinda like gambling with cassettes! You either find gems or an 80s grunge rock lol. We’re thinking once we have money from working in this new country we may buy some new cassettes from BandCamp and a tape recorder for personal mixes. 

Have any recommendations on what we should keep an eye out for?
