the word "alt" is so dumb

okay i wouldn't say it's "dumb" that was lowk clickbait but hear me out:

i feel like calling left wing ppl, who listen to less mainstream music, alternative just emphasises the idea that being right wing is normal. "alt" means out of the norm and i get that it's used because we live in a capitalist oligarchic society; so ppl call themselves alt to claim they don't agree with those more common ideologies but doesn't that just encourages others to view the more engaged leftists as unusual and less credible? thus fascist and neo-nazi beliefs become the norm though they are the unnormal ones for spreading hatred. 

but yeah wtv ig it's probably "not that deep" i just thought i'd share and see you guys' opinion

ngl i think we should all collectively start ragebaiting those mfs and call them alt.
