biology will kill me

hello. I am not very happy in this moment.

let me preface this blog by saying I am an EARLY CHILDHOD EDUCATION MAJOR. OK? I plan on teaching KINDERGARTENERS how to READ for the entirety of my career. keeping that in mind, tell me WHY I am required to take BIOLOGY to earn my degree? when I was first told by my advisor I needed to take biology to knock off one of my sciences I was like "oh okay cool, I took it my freshman year of high school, no big deal".

this. class. has. destroyed. me. I shite yall not, I genuinely have nightmares about this class. i've had at least three so far, I wake up in a sweat. the work is just never ending. the smart books, the case studies, the take-home quizzes, the planning forms, the THREE HOUR LONG LAB THAT MEETS ONCE A WEEK? its too much. its just too much. I have a case study tomorrow, dont understand a dam thing. I might cry right now just thinking about it. my lab group despises me because I cannot contribute. like sorry guys, I try to understand. to me, it's just like trying to read Chinese. I cannot grasp a single concept.

to biology majors right now, I do not envy y'all one bit. It's actually quite humorous because I have my education major math class right after bio on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we talk about the differences between squares and rectangles.

so yes, wish a poor girl luck tomorrow. loggin off to get a tiny bit more studying in, then hitting the hay. xoxo

The 3 hours hour labs are worth like 1 unit too like who even decided that...,
For me, biology is just chemistry in disguise, it's mostly memorization but also knowing if we are talking about stuff on the atomic level, molecular level, or whichever level helps a lot. If anything, I just know amoeba sisters got our backs.
