The Downfall Of The YouTube App Files (DEEP-DIVE) Capitalism & True Crime... Today I talk to you about, The rise and fall of the YouTube APP, I talk about, YouTube began in 2005 as a simple video sharing website platform founded by three former PayPal employees they were, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. Its rise to popularity in pop culture stemmed from its groundbreaking user generated content, viral videos, and the creation of a new, highly accessible platform for media and entertainment. The founders were motivated by the difficulty of finding and sharing video clips online, particularly footage of events like the 2004 Super Bowl The initial concept for the platform was a video dating website. After it failed to attract users, the founders opened it up to any kind of video, an "anything-goes" approach that proved to be the key to its success,

On April 23, 2005, co-founder Jawed Karim uploaded the first video, titled "Me at the zoo", The site saw rapid growth as users began uploading clips of pets, vacations, and funny skits. In October 2006, Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion, providing the financial, technological, and legal resources to expand and handle its rapid growth, YouTube solidified its status as the dominant online video platform, It also introduced new features like HD streaming and saw a cultural impact through viral sensations like Susan Boyle's performance on Britain's Got Talent, In 2010, YouTube 800 million active users. The platform also saw significant growth in video consumption, with over 2 billion video views per day by May 2010. Viral videos, such as “Gangnam Style” and “Charlie Bit My Finger,” have become global phenomena, and memes born on the platform have transcended the internet, influencing mainstream media and advertising!

The platform's original slogan, "Broadcast Yourself," captured its focus on community and content made by users, for users. Users freely uploaded all sorts of content, including original vlogs, sketches, music videos, and Reality TV show clips. For the first time, ordinary people could achieve a form of celebrity status by gaining a audience through their videos. Many celebrities, hobbies, fandoms, and social media influencers have gained immense popularity on YouTube, Some of them include: Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Trisha Paytas, Sped up Alvin and the Chipmunks songs became popular on YouTub Today the trend is so prevalent that record labels and artists are actively releasing sped-up versions of their songs to capitalize on their viral popularity on TikTok, Large Fandoms such as Both the Warrior Cats and Sonic the Hedgehog fandoms became popular on YouTube primarily by featuring fan made created content and Cartoon AMVs (Animated Music Videos)

YouTube Users are tired of paying for multiple streaming subscriptions, and as YouTube has introduced more paid services, it faces backlash against the monetization of what was once free content and also YouTube's increase in unskippable ads is designed to encourage users to pay for YouTube Premium, which provides an ad-free experience, A major shift came around 2017 with the "ad-pocalypse," when YouTube tightened rules on what content could be monetized to appease advertisers. YouTube's "adpocalypse" was a direct result of advertisers discovering their ads were being placed next to NOT good messages, In response to the negative publicity, dozens of major brands, including PepsiCo, Walmart, Starbucks, and JPMorgan Chase, pulled their advertising from YouTube, These companies demanded a "brand-safe" environment where their products would not be associated with objectionable content, This disproportionately affected independent creators whose content was more controversial or less brand-safe, pushing them toward creating more sanitized, content!

YouTube was accused of unfairly demonetizing videos from LGBTQ creators, YouTube of censoring educational content, Claims of YouTube showing favoritism to popular content creators who violate guidelines are widespread such as Logan Paul Japan controversy, SSSNIPERWOLF Jackfilms controversy, Eugenia Cooney controversy,

Problematic Family Vlogging Channels like The daddy of 5, 8 Passengers Ruby Franke, Myka Stauffer Drama, YouTube facilitates the exotic pet trade Animal Activists publicly condemned youtuber Brooke Houts, YouTubers, such as Jake Paul, have received criticism for the environmental impact of their extravagant lifestyles, which often include mansions and luxury cars, ETC!!!
