(Most of you reading this probably aren't Dutch, so I'll leave links to references of which you may not understand what I'm saying) TW: N*zism, f*scism, xenophobia
The Netherlands is a great country, but its politics? - Holy shit, it's a mess. Turks, Moroccans, basically any muslim immigrant? Geert wants you and your religion gone, buddy.
It's a very sensitive topic, and I may censor some words here and there, but damn what the fuck happened to Dutch politics? The country is being dominated by a far-right party (PVV) of which the leader says shit like "Take a walk done the street and see where this is going. You no longer feel like you're living in your own country. There is a battle going on and we have to ourselves. Before you know it we'll have more mosques than churches!" - that last line is just completely false, just another far-right (and f*scist) conspiracy theory.
I'm not religious, but I've seen a concerning amount of people start supporting the NSB (a WW2 Dutch N*zi party), especially online. To all fellow Dutch people reading this - for god's sake, don't fall into the far-right pipeline - that's basically the moral of the story.

The presence of the Far-Right exists in every country. They are a menace, but they are not the real problem. The real problem is a backsliding democracy that they can exploit. That, my friend, is what you should really be worried about.

YESS, it's happening in Finland too and pretty much everywhere. It's so scary how "normal" fascism is currently. I've seen so many people openly calling themselves fascists like it's something to be proud of. Our countries and ruining themselves with right wing politics while blaming the minorities for doing it.
