Alright, time to settle this debate once and for all

Waffles or pancakes? And WHY? This is a deeply serious question for deeply serious individuals!

Well actually, I just want to goof off. I'm a waffle girl myself.

I also want to see if a goofy, somewhat positive "debate" post will actually make it to the top blogs. Consider it an experiment I guess.

Largely depends 'cause here we mainly have crepe-style pancakes which I prefer over waffles, but I prefer waffles over regular/American-style pancakes. I think I just like it when there's a bit of crisp, which you get more with crepes and waffles than regular pancakes? Sure

waffles, they just have a better flavor to me and they have more space in their square holes to hold stuff like syrup and strawberries

I like waffles, because they feel more solid and I like solid.

Pancakes and I say this because I like to make breakfast sandwiches. Growing up mi Padre would make breakfast sandwiches with waffles, but he would do cooked turkey or ham and cheese while Madre would do pancake and cooked turkey sandwiches cut down the middle and cheese on it. I now make breakfast sandwiches with pancakes. I feel like it's easier to make pancakes over waffles saying you need a special cooker for waffles unless there's a way I don't know of. Therefore, I think, pancakes>waffles.

I prefer waffle because I don't usually eat it (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ! I have made pancakes numerous times for my family and I; what I noticed is that if you want something softer or easier to eat, choose pancakes. If you want something a crispier, eat waffles!

Either way, for me the breaking point of those both is what you choose to pair with them. I prefer maple, honey, or caramel syrup (ˆ‿ˆԅ). AND bacon and eggs on the side (crispy bacon especially and sunny side up eggs)

Can't really help, I don't eat either much. My mother taught me how to make pancakes, but don't think the time you have to spend doing it is really worth it. Lol

But if you're going to make either, I think it's best to put fruit in them, usually blueberries.

pancakes bcuz they just taste better and absorb the syrup rather than just having it get stuck in those little holes waffle has. And they don't go as soggy as waffles get (in my experience). Also, may I offer this quote from Gerard Way "even if you can't make the pancake you can still be the pancake. The pancake is inside of you." As well as his pancake report as evidence.

Solid argument ngl, I prefer the crunch of waffles though in comparison to the "squishiness" of pancakes. Plus waffles are way more versatile, you could put syrup or you could spread peanut butter on them and eat them with your fingers; with pancakes you're pretty much stuck with knife-and-fork. Waffles can also be made savory in a dish, for example chicken and waffles. Blueberry ones are great with cream cheese -- the topping options are pretty much limitless if you wanna avoid the syrup sog.
