I JUST HAD A CRAZY THOUGHT

So you know how we have mites on our face and stuff? If you didn't know that before, I'm sorry, but basically we are living beings with smaller living beings that live on us. What IF the universe is like a cosmic being and stuff, right? And we live on a speck of dirt on that being. Like imagine if there was dirt on you, and tiny people lived on you and you didn't know it, that's basically what I'm thinking.

Then that would put into question what is a supernova if it's on this being? Or stuff like black holes, the birth of a start, and other cosmic events. Idk if there would be a human equivalent to compare those things to since it's space instead of flesh.

Is this already an established philosophy? I don't know, maybe.

There is an eldritch story about (probably spelt wrong) Asathoth who's dreams are our entire universe. In those stories, it's said that if Asathoth wakes up, everything is gone. As far as I know, we haven't observed that we live on a bigger being but this story shows us how big of an impact small things as waking up can be at extremely large scopes.

This all only really matters once we observe such, but it's a fun idea to build stories around. Xenoblade for example has creatures that are the size of a continent or large island that you explore. They float on a sea in an endless sky. I don't really know the Xenoblade series of games that well so take my words with a grain of salt.
