even more showsssssss

summer was crazy! i studied abroad in japan and south korea, then returned home to more interpersonal drama then any girl needs in a 3 month session. instead of looking hot on the beach and stealing from the mall, i was dealing with lame ass guys and fake ass friends. at least i got to go to some cool shows!

june - icp @ the signal

INSANE! i be forgetting i saw the insane clown possee in concert. it was so crazy!!! i was close to the stage and i got absolutely SOAKED through in faygo, hair and clothes and shoes and all. the show itself was short - only an hour. guess theyre getting old, but they brought the energy for that 1 hour nonetheless! the opener was so unbelivebly awful that i paid for some wayyy overpriced tequila shots just to have something to write home about. i was fresh off the plane from korea and forgot how EXPENSIVE everything in america is - i never once paid for a drink at a hongdae club! if nothing else, being able to say i went was more than worth it.

august - ajj @ jjs bohemia 

sososo fucking insane! one of the best shows ive been to in a minute. ajj are MEANT to be heard live. theyre such great guys, and the enegry there was so good. i had mono, so i sadly couldnt mosh during bad bad things, but the vicarious enegry of watching them go crazy and almost take out a microphone was almost as good. it was a sold out show! pacing was the opener and they were SO damn good, been listening to 'never go down' nonestop. ran into a chick from high school at it - shes a total out and proud butch now, and she was feeling me! we plan to go to more shows together once im back in town ;) nah, imma just say it: this was by far the best show i went to in the summer, with the best company too!

aug - crystal kay @ terminal west

I love love love CKAY, she's so glamorous and just as larger-than-life IRL! i didnt love the venue, or the crowd.... as we know, im a punk/metal person, so i always feel a bit weird at pop shows. But ckayherself was so wonderful, and I'm glad I had the experience. FUCK that overpriced merch tho, prices werent listed at the booth and i ended up paying $50 for a fucking tshirt... like dude, i coulve jst gotten vip for that price and asked her to sign my face.

IM SO INSANELY HYPED!!!!!!!!!! SIO is one of my most nostalgic bands, they were my everything in middle school. my first real punk rock loves, i knew the lyrics to every song off every album. i read fanfic about them. i wrote fanfic about them (sorry). they were my first concert, oepning for ONE OK ROCK in 2017 @ buckhead. i cant believe its been 8 yrs! ive easily been a fan for going on 10 years now. seriously.... i could NOT be more pumped for this. if anyones going, hmu! gonna start hitting the stairmaster at the gym to build up stamia - i hate getting exhuasted halfway thru the show.
