The rich are your enemy, not your fellow working class

this is not an essay. I may have not worded everything in the best or more correct way here. its just some of my raw thoughts.

most people don't seem to see the big picture. the government purposefully divides us through politics, gender, race, sexuality, and religion. when in reality, we are all a part of the same group: the working class. the bourgeoisie fear this because we outnumber them. the working class has succeeded them before. think about the fight for the five day work week and the creation of labor unions. we were able to achieve those things because all of America united for them. the working class was big enough to truly make change. I myself as an infant was present at the largest protest in California history "The Day Without Immigrants", which was a pro-immigration protest that was ultimately about laborers rights the proper treatment of immigrants in the work force. nearly one million people gathered for this protest.

protests of this scale may never happen again. why? because we have become intensely divided as a country- as a working class. democrat vs. republican has become so heavily divided, so ingrained into our everyday lives, that we may never be able to unit under the single group of "working class" in order to enact change. we hate each other too deeply. but you should not hate your fellow common human. they do not have power over you. they are not the ones creating the laws. liberals, your enemy is not conservatives who hate gay marriage. conservatives, your enemies are not liberals who kiss people of the same gender. your enemies are the government planting drugs in your neighborhoods to make them worse, and billion dollar companies poisoning the water in your small town, and multi-property landlords increasing your rent before kicking you out onto the street, and the government defunding the education in your city to keep you ignorant and harmless, and brands pumping your food full of addicting and unhealthy chemicals, and tech companies stealing your information to create advertisements and propaganda that literally brainwashes you. the rich have always been your enemies!

the divide of race comes from the divide of class! white people did not own slaves, rich people owned slaves. those rich people were white, but they did not own slaves because they were white, they owned slaves because they were rich, greedy, and evil. 25% of the colonial population owned slaves[1]. Again, this would be white people of moderate to high privilege who owned land as well. and do you want to know what this ultimately boils down to? slaves were cheaper than real labor. these things always circle back around to how much money you have. every form of oppression, every systematic issue, it is a result of classism.

this is why education is so important. impoverished communities in the deep south can be very racist, and yet they do not come from families that would have owned slaves! they came from poor families who would have never had the money or land to buy slaves. their racism comes from ignorance, and the government pushes this ignorance so that they never truly realize that they should be fighting the bourgeoisie for how poor their lives are.

this 25% of moderate wealth holders is now 1% of extreme wealth holders. the difference between even an upper-class American and a true wealthy person is astronomical. you have almost everything in common with a working class citizen of an opposite political view, and absolutely nothing in common with a wealthy person of the same political view (who don't really have the same political view as you, because their politics and beliefs are so different due to their money. all of their beliefs revolve around their money, unlike you whose beliefs revolve around your human rights, freedoms, and pursuit of happiness). and this 1% does in fact currently own slaves- just not in this country, as far as we know.

the only way we will ever, ever change anything is if we stop fighting with each other like dogs in a dog fighting ring and finally look up and realize our problems are being manufactured by the people who own us. you must have empathy for you fellow working class people because they have been abused by the system just as much as you have. There will never be enough people in a single political group to ever make meaningful change. the CIA has too much money. the only thing we can do is outnumber them. but we would have to actually realize and accept all of this first, which is becoming increasingly difficult as the rich become richer and divide us completely.

at the end of the day, they fear us because we outnumber them. its why they put in so much effort to distract us.

>pro-immigration protest
immigration itself is meant to further divide. why else do you think the elite relentlessly promote it?

which elite? every major politician in the country right now are anti-immigration nationalists. again, this is the elite trying to turn immigrants into the common enemy so they themselves do not become the common enemy. as I said, this protest ultimately boiled down to laborer's rights and pro-working class. it was not only about how immigrants are treated in the work force, but how everyone is treated in the work force by extension. thats why the protest was so massive. and how would immigration divide us? by making the country more diverse and giving us a wider understanding of the world and other groups of people? cultural diversity is extremely valuable and it is the one good thing America was built off of.

>every major politician in the country right now are anti-immigration nationalists
immigration has steadily increased under each president. despite their word they are pro-immigration. yes, even trump. politicians lie. and right wing politicians lie to their base just as much as left-wing politicians. right and left wing are by themselves means to divide
>who are the elite
the elite are those who dictate the zeitgeist through propaganda. politicians are tools of the elite
>cultural diversity is extremely valuable
this idea is promoted by the elite. humans are awfully divisive. by race, by class, by gender. it's human nature to seek higher ground. bring together as many you want and you will find so many ways they will divide themselves

okay i genuinely do not understand what you're trying to say or what point you are trying to make

antipatic please point out examples of people who you think are "the elite". im hedging my bets on you being insanely antisemetic so this is your opportunity to prove me wrong

>antisemetic
i've never mentioned jews at all. what gave you this idea i wonder?

by antipatic; ; Report

Hey antipatic. What you are saying can be interpreted as a anti-semitic dog whistle. This idea of elites controlling shit is often used in an antisemitic way so it's important to specify what you mean. Somyinws I accidentally don this to when talking about the rich where it's vauge enough for a Nazi to be like "oh he's talking about the Jews". Not your fault, not calling you anti-semitic and I don't think @ohthankskid is either, it's a common mistake just y'know going on be specific.

I really like how you wrote about this, I can feel your passion. This reminds me of a quote by Marjane Satrapi;
“If I have one message to give to the secular American people, it’s that the world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same.”
