dark light 20th anniversary

we got a merch collection on the heartagram website!! however quite literally the only thing here that looks cute is the wings of a butterfly shirt... 

this collection is so lazily put together. and it's all pre-order too, like the team forgot about the 20th anniversary until people starting posting about it on instagram... it's so obvious that they just want to get as much money out of HIM collectors as they can. why else would anyone want to buy these shirts, besides the heavy nostalgia factor (though i think those people would rather spend money on ACTUAL dark light era merch,, come on i need that pocket watch). also $45 for a poster is actual lunacy

everyone was begging for a dark light vinyl repressing, as that vinyl is really hard to find and known as a collector's item. i get that album rights are pretty difficult to manage, as HIM switched between labels throughout their career (i think warner owns dark light) but dudee this isn't a hard thing to do. this is obviously a highly requested release, why won't warner do it? they'd get so much money from collectors and people who never got to own the vinyl the first time it was released.

i'm more excited for the venus doom anniversary as that's my fav HIM album though i'm scared the same thing'll happen again with these low quality "collections" that are just 5 shirts with the same graphic in different variants

overall very dissapointing. for an album this important in HIM's career, dark light being their big break in the united states, i was expecting better. though with the collections we've gotten lately im lowkey not that surprised lol
