I'm strictly referring to brain fog that is caused by staying online for too long, just so we're clear.
So like, how do you quit being tired of the internet? Of your expanding screentime? How do you fix your focus after 6 hour glimpses at YouTube shorts? Hmm, good questions, and answer will vary from person to another.
I do the following,
- I write stuff in my journal. Doesn't have to be something fancy, like language does get rusty at times, and for that you must read Sabrina Carpenter think pieces on your phone at 9am. Or other informal essays, let us not restrict ourselves.
- I delete random apps. The other day I blew up Chrome data. Turns out, spacehey password recoveries are VERY, VERY tricky ventures, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
- I get drawing inspiration from comics. Usually Tinkle. (Say hi Wooly Woo lovers!!!!!!!!!)
- I talk to myself; dialogue writing exercise; I'm the listener and the therapist.
- Once again, I just delete stuff from Downloads. Tends to pile on real quick.
- I do cute lists on my back pocket diary. Ridiculous thing such as brushing your hair or bathing paint brushes with Loreal Hair Conditioner for longetivity etc.
- I clear out and pause YouTube history. Very important! Unless of course you have another video streaming platform.
- I JUMP!!!!!! ON TERRACE!!!!!!! IN CIRCLES
- I listen to that one Tangled song of Rapunzel having tons of hobbies and all. Mind boggling!!!!!!
- I do drawing warm ups.
- I try to find oil pastels in the hidden corners of my house. Very difficult, might I add
- I indulge in slow cinema, basically any show or movie BEFORE 2015
- I talk to a friend
- Walking helps, especially when you have a sibling that tags along (read : angel)
- Face yoga time!
- Sing like a Disney Princess class!
- I go book hunting on Inkitt and the likes
And that's it. What do you do to fix yours?
xx
