Living Life the Way it Was Intended

I don't know what I just experienced. I can only characterize it as a moment of clarity.

I've figured out what I've been chasing something in life, a quality in which isn't really an identifiable factors. I just know it exists. I can only identify it by the qualities that make up this concept I'm talking about.

It's about intentionality, about being thorough in what you want to accomplish in life and doing it. It's not about being passive by giving into conceived notions of what life should be; it's about doing what you want to do, exploring your passions, and remaining active and deliberate in your choices.

I don't mean to sound like some wise conspiracy Jedi monk. These are just the words that are coming to me.

It's about staying in the now, in the moment. It's about taking action, not falling into stimuli that suppresses you, like doom scrolling, watching tv for hours on end, or playing video games all day (all of which can be good influences in moderation, of course.) This concept is the difference between rotting in bed and going out on a walk with a friend, the difference between watching YouTube videos and finishing your homework in order to draft ideas for a new work of art you've been planning, the difference between waking up and 2 and deciding that your day is ruined and writing, recording, and producing that new song you've had in the back of your mind for three days now.

I'm looking for a life where I'm not tempted by the qualities of life that bring so many of us down, the lust that clouds our perceptions of relationships, the greed that fattens us and kills our energy, the sloth that keeps us from our passions and artwork, and the pride that makes us think the way we are living our lives is okay.

Achieving a life that gives in to this unidentifiable quality is the hardest challenge we can face. Balancing our work, our health, our schooling, our social lives, our hobbies, our passions, and our relationships in order to achieve this concept remains one of the impossible tasks of modern life. I believe that it's impossible to do all of that, yes, but it is possible to have a life where we are intentional with our time and possible to have a life where we feel enriched in everything we've accomplished.

To anyone reading this, I challenge you to reflect on your life and reflect on what you wish to accomplish. I'm not some philosopher claiming that my view of life is correct or some martyr that's preaching the ancient ideals of life. The idea for this point of view came to me on a midnight walk. This idea might just be a silly shower thought, but who knows? It could have some merit to it.

That's all. I think I've rambled on for long enough. Good luck out there ya'll. Life is hard.
