Charlie Kirk and the Importance of Freedom of Speech

I really do not like diving into politics too much, but I really want to get my opinion written in stone.

OPINION WARNING!!!!

I am not here to tell you how to think, I am expressing my personal opinion

I have not taken the political compass test, but I would guess that I lean towards the left, but I do agree with some right ideals. Charlie Kirk preached some things that I do not agree with, and that I think were harmful to spread to a (mostly) violent audience. I did not like him as a person, but HE DID NOT DESERVE TO GET SHOT. Freedom of Speech is the most important right (at least in my opinion), and he was expressing it to the fullest. He debated about his beliefs and stood up for what he believed to be right. Debate and spread of opinions is important for democracy to run,  and in being informed and participating in debate is a very good thing to do.

He preached things that have indirectly harmed others, but that absolutely does not mean that he should have gotten shot and killed in front of his wife, kids, and college students. I do not feel bad for him, I feel bad for his family and the poor college students that had to witness his assassination.

Please be civil <3
