I been wanting an iPod for a while now,how do they work exactly

haii! srry for l8 reply, but u need a computer 4 it, you hook it up 2 the ipod with the little cable, and you can use itunes/apple music to download music onto it. i need a computer asap but my mom said thats how she remembrs it!
