So I only recently learned about this guy and the fact that he was assassinated. In one of his speeches he stated that owning a gun is a fundamental right. While holding what would be his last speech on his stand it was clearly written "PROVE ME WRONG". Canonically the guy who shot him did exactly that. My opinion is neutral, on one hand the propaganda machine must be stopped but on the other hand violence shouldn't be used except for the case in which the opposition is also violent + the guy had 2 kids at home. Also why did the media covered this subject so well while there was a school shooting that got way worse coverage?
Edit: I'm not saying this in a "Facebook mom" manor. I don't think anyone should die due to shootings, not only kids. Also I'm a non conservative and an atheist but I respect whatever values and beliefs you have regardless of of race and ethnicity. That being said I'm against people enforcing their values and beliefs on other people, that's how autocratic/theocratic regimes appear (I'm against these too).

As someone who is more Conservative, I disliked the way Charlie often spoke in his debates. I always thought he came off a bit rude and condescending, and I definitely did not agree with him on some fronts. That being said: it is absolutely DISGUSTING what happened to him. He used his first amendment right and, what? Someone couldn't mind their own and decided to kill him for that? The worst part? Charlie would have GLADLY had a debate with his shooter -- that's what he does! He let everyone, no matter what view they have or religion they practice or what they identify as, speak their opinions and go back and forth. It is vile and it is disgusting. No matter what political party you are in, you should agree that murder is not the answer to disagreement. And if someone doesn't agree with that and is celebrating the death of a FATHER AND HUSBAND because of his views: you, too, are disgusting.
magic!
As a somewhat conservative American, it's more significant to contemporary politics than children dying in a mass shooting. Mass shootings happen every year, the American people are dull to the notion of being murdered in a school.

I share a similar opinion, but if anything, this not only did nothing to stop Trump propaganda, but actually fueled it. He became a martyr, most non american people, including me, didn't even know about the guy but got to know after all that happened. See what i am talking about?
Yup, it's the "Ozzy Osbourne effect". Not a lot of people listened to his music until he died. Then the internet blew up. Hopefully it doesn't go on such scale with this guy. That would be a huge win for Trump propaganda.
