feelin' particularly bored on a sunday night and trying my darndest to stall monday. what better way to do that than by answering a bunch of inane questions?

name: hazel! although that's not my real name, but it's what i like going by online. the real deal isn't so great, as far as i'm concerned.
nickname: as previously mentioned! some people will shorten it to haz, which i like :3
how old are you: 28 as of writing!
zodiac sign: capricorn! i'm not really sure what that says about me anymore, if anything at all. i try not to think about it.
current location: the netherlands, and therein i've resided my whole life thus far. it's a nice place; it feels safe and comfortable.
eye color: dark brown! hard to see most of the time, but when the light hits just right, it's very noticeable.
hair color: black, although i got some orangey/browny highlights last year. most of them have grown out but there's still a couple stray hairs. i should get those reapplied, i really enjoy having them. 
hair type: curly! i think 3a or 3b is the technical code.
height: 188cm, or 6'2". taller than most people suspect when they see me online, funnily enough. although with where i'm from, it really shouldn't come as a surprise.
your heritage: i was born to dutch parents, although half of my family is antillean! there's also some indonesian and italian in there somewhere. a colorful mix, to say the least!
what's your middle name: i don't have one, and i don't mind that one bit!
shoes you wore today: i think i wore my nike air jordan 4 retro military black sneakers today. they're one of my favorite pairs!
your weakness: critically assessing myself, it would probably boil down to having difficulties getting started on things! i'm hard to motivate, and i think it costs me both personally and professionally. it's something i would like to find answers for, but as one might suspect, motivating myself to find those answers is a hard task.
your fear: the infinity of time and how it will always keep going, whether we are there to witness it or not. a scary concept if i do say so myself!
have you ever ridden a mechanical bull: not to my recollection.
do you want to: i'd be lying if i said i'm aching to ride one, but i suppose my interest level isn't zero. 
goal you would like to achieve this year: there are many, some of which i have already achieved, such as getting a new job! as for goals i'm still working on, finishing my video game remix album is the biggest one, i think.
first thought when you wake up: do i really have to be up yet? if the answer is no, there's a good chance i will fall back asleep
best physical feature: my ass, of course.
who is your bestest friend: that'd be my girlfriend, ginny <3
when is your bedtime: i don't have one, and it costs me precious sleep most days of the week. it gets as late as 4 am a lot of the time. although this doesn't happen when i'm living together with ginny!
your most cherished memory: it's tough choosing just one memory when there are so many beautiful memories. if i really had to choose, i'd say being able to attend ginny's oboe concerto was a real highlight in my life and a very meaningful moment, presumably for the both of us but certainly for me.
pepsi or coke: i think coke tastes better, but i like the taste of both drinks.
mcdonalds or burger king: burger king makes light work of mcdonalds for having actual vegan options, whereas mcdonalds has nothing. not only that, but every single burger king burger can be made vegan, and there are some good sides as well like the onion rings and nuggets. it's not even close and anybody who says mcdonalds is a real chump
single or group dates: i'm not currently dating anymore, but if i were, definitely single dates. group dates just get messy.
what is the last song you sang: i sang a thousand miles during a karaoke session a little while ago.
does playing the guitar make a girl/guy more attractive: not necessarily, i'm not all that enamored by the guitar.
what is your biggest pet peeve: general cluelessness, i think. i'm not immune to this, but it really bothers me when i notice it in other people. talking loudly in public, standing in the way, just generally being unaware of your surroundings and not thinking about the other people around you.
do you drink: every so often. not something i'm particularly keen on, but it can be fun from time to time.
ever been drunk: yeah, i have. thankfully i can count on two fingers the number of times i've been too drunk, and both times ended in a pretty embarrassing hurling session at homes belonging to friends' parents.
do you smoke: i don't smoke anything, and i plan on keeping it that way. bunch of nonsense

what color underwear do you have on: pretty much always black, easily my preferred underwear color.
do you want to go to college: i went to university and completed my bachelor's degree in computer science. ever since writing my bachelor's thesis i've had absolutely zero desire to continue any form of education and went straight into working full-time.
have you ever been in love: yes, i am right now!  
do you want to get married: funnily enough i didn't care for it much until my current relationship, and now i definitely do!
do you believe in yourself: sometimes, but not all the time. when i get down on myself i get really down on myself. i have pretty serious impostor syndrome, and often lament my inability to truly excel in something.
do you believe in others: that very much depends on the person! if you're talking about humanity as a whole... rarely.
do you like thunderstorms: i think they are both really cool and very scary!
do you play an instrument: i can play the piano, but not very well. i've had lessons for about a decade but never stuck with the instrument after that, in favor of fl studio
what do you want to be when you grow up: as a grown-up, i'm a software developer which isn't exactly what i really want to be. i'd much rather be an electronic musician or full-time streamer, but neither of those things are particularly viable unfortunately.
what country would you like to visit: perhaps this is cliché, but japan really draws me.
how many cds do you own: very few, i can count them on one hand. i'm more of a vinyl person.
how many dvds do you own: i have a whole shopping bag full of dvds that i got as hand-me-downs from my brother, but i've only watched a handful of them at most. never been much of a movie person, i think they're the least interesting multimedia format.
how many tattoos do you have: i have none! i think tattoos are cool in concept, but i've never seen anything that made me consider putting it on my body for all of my conscious eternity
how many piercings do you have: my ears are pierced if that counts, but otherwise none. similarly to tattoos, i think they are definitely very cool, but there aren't any other spots on my body i'd particularly want to put any sort of jewelry.
how many things in the past do you regret: many, many, many, many, many things. and yet, in spite of all of them, i'm still here, kickin' it. and so the world keeps on spinnin'.

favorites
shoes: i have many shoes. i'm currently really into chunky sneakers. balenciaga track runners come to mind, of which i own a black pair. although my real favorite shoes are these ones.
radio station: i can't remember the last time i listened to the radio that wasn't in my parents' car. hard to name a favorite. maybe skyradio just for the jingle?
drink: i'm going to assume alcoholic beverage here, in which case it's the missionary's downfall. sex on the beach always hits too.
car: i don't have a license but even so, i have a soft spot for the citroën saxo. what a silly little car that is
place: home. no matter where i've been, coming home always feels good. mostly because my bed and my computer are there.
song: i listen to way too much music to be able to pick one song. i suppose a current obsession for me is "lalala" by "kidnamedfinger".
movie: knives out. whodunnit dun right!
moment: this one aligns with my most cherished memory outlined above.
color: this always differs as well, but currently i'd say a desaturated, pastel lime green.
meal: vegan spaghetti bolognese

favorite eye color: i like every eye color. special mention to ginny's blue eyes :3
favorite hair color: i like every hair color. special mention to ginny's blond hair :3
short or long hair: medium to long hair is what i like most of the time, but short hair can also look really cute! depends on the cut.
height: i do enjoy being taller, and thankfully that's not really an issue.
body type: kind of a body negative question! 
does ethnicity matter: kind of a racist question! 
piercings: piercings or no piercings, all's fine with me.
tattoos: tattoos or no tattoos, all's fine with me.

bed side manor (what does this mean?)
do you think you are attractive: ì flip flop between thinking i am and thinking i'm not... i've got good and bad days, much like most people i suppose. a lot of it rides on how much my hair's willing to cooperate on any given day.
are you attracted to someone who does not know it: i'm only attracted to someone who knows it!
would you like to be someones fantasy: it is nice to be the subject of someone else's wanting! it can be very flattering, although it can also be very creepy depending on who's doing the fantasizing, and what sort of crazy shenanigans they're fantasizing about!
hunter or hunted: ideally hunted because i am kinda awkward and timid about approaching.
do you kiss with your eyes closed or open: closed by default. there's not much to see when you're up that close, unless you really enjoy pretending you're kissing a cyclops.
a little or a lot of tongue: getting into some interesting territory here! i don't mind tongue tango, it's fun.
older or younger: so long as it's within an acceptable age range, it really doesn't matter to me. what's more important to me is that i can level with someone emotionally.
lights on/lights off or candle light: lights off with some mood lighting, for sure.
do you like to cuddle after: of course! cuddling is wonderful.
