The soviets ruined my nation

I live in a post-soviet country. Lots of people in my life dislike politics. Hell, many of them don't even vote in the local elections and don't make any effort to educate themselves when voting for parlament representatives. When I bring up any politics they go silent or sigh or change the subject. On other instances, they complain about the current government. Many people in my country don't understand the state of our roads is the least of our problems. 

The whole fucking EU is about to get spied on by an AI. AND NOBODY CARES!!! Is it insane to think "Hmmm... maybe instead of taking away rights, why don't I parent my own damn kids and monitor their internet access?" I feel like parents expect the whole world to shield their kids. BRO, that ain't my kid. I barely give a damn about him. He is NAWT my responsibility. My privacy is worth more than whatever is going on here. Who actually believes chat control is about kids? Ain't nobody with a brain believe that shit.

ANYWAY, I call this alergic to anything political "The Soviet Mindset". The Soviets thrived on keeping their citizens away from politics and I still see people acting like they have no control over their government. Your vote actually counts this time. So stop complaining because you voted for a populist. Do some research next time. It's okay to be politically illiterate. It's not okay to stay that way. Not if you're going to be complaining about this or that. There is a politician out there that shares your priorities. Go and find 'em.

I promise you, being right-leaning or left-leaning is not a political stance. Please have actual values instead of being like Eric Cartman and going against whatever is currently happening. If you think gay people are bad have actual evidence instead of heresy and personal anecdotes.

Unrelated: I saw a guy on facebook blame gay people for chat control. Broski, we're all gettin' fucked in the ass and you're blaming gays instead of the people plottin' in the EU council? Safe to say I am never looking at anythig political on facebook ever again. 

TL;DR: I blame the Soviets for people pretending they have no control over the government.
