I mean any old console that plays disks might be a good alternative for a cd player like i bought earl sweatshirts i dont like shit and some rap songs on cd plus chocolate starfish by limp bizkit on cd and i just play them off my ps3 because my ps2's cd laser doesnt work and i dont care enough to replace it it plays dvd's fine so i dont care
