I saw a video recently that really bothered me. It was about a girl who mocked people who liked rock music and cited mainstream songs. As a result, I started noticing other similar situations where people define the tastes and quirks of each person as "basic" or "alternative." What I'm writing is mostly just a rant, but don't you find it irritating when everyone receives a term and, depending on that term, you're "accepted" by people who identify with it? It’s actually kind of funny. If you like listening to Taylor Swift, you're adopted by the "Normie" tribe, but if you like listening to Behemoth, you're adopted by the "Alternative" tribe — I'm not talking about principles or anything, but it's pretty weird to be judged for something that's harmless. I don't know what to say, I just believe people should care less about titles and status, after all, even those who claim to be super underground but care more about things separate from their concepts than something that actually represents their values are as superficial as someone who only follows trends.
