I may seem like a internet freak but I do like writing poems from time to time or when I get inspired!
I feel like in people's eyes you can be either 'good' or 'bad' at poems but I think that's not true! and that goes for all writing too. obviously some things can determine bad writing like lack of grammar, misspellings and stuff but honestly that could even be what they were going for so i don't think those count either. poems don't have to be super deep and philosophical, they could also be simple and straightforward. and they don't always have to be sad either! you can use it to express happiness too (I can't be talking since all my poems are pretty sad) but still! a poem isn't necessarily bad just because you think it is. someone could see it as a masterpiece while i could think its ass. that's because writing is subjective! it kinda makes me sad people don't know that and just dog on everything they don't find suitable to their tastes :<

That breaks down to a whole philisophical thing though--most people these days are not very deep, don't want to feel, don't want to comprehend, don't have a sense of self. They just conform to numbing their emotions, and being angry at everything from repression. Even simple reads make people mad for one varying reason or another. And those who try to write that hate their own stuff are not in-tune with themselves, or trying to write something they ultimately don't want to but for whatever reason are forcing it (or it's revealing an inner truth they don't want to see).
Poetry is one of the most digestible forms of writing that yeah there is few ways to be wrong with.
yes that too! people will be pissy either way so it's better to just write however you want
