people need to call things for what they are

Im so sick of seeing people saying grape instead of rape, pew pew instead of gun or unaluved instead of killed, not see instead of nazi the list goes on and on.

I understand if its in the comments of the video because in comments they are way stricter, but if you are making a video about how a little girl was raped and killed with a gun and you say: "little mandy was graped and then unalived with a pew pew" girl, what the fuck are you talking about you sound ridiculous.

what do you think?

I hate when people talk like this on normal websites, it instantly tells me they have to be some kind of iPad baby who thinks the entire internet works like TikTok. Even worse is when they actually say this stuff in real life. My mom told me once about how she had to stop some zoomer at work in the middle of a conversation because she kept saying "unalive" and all the other stupid phrases. They're doctors. When people say brainrot they really do mean peoples brains are ROTTING because how does a fucking app make you forget that it's not illegal to say "die" and "rape" in real life.

I agree. I think many people do it so their post won't get taken down but who cares. If it does re upload the video, make a new account. People are taking the easy way out even when the topic is insane and cruel.

Every time I see this happen I think of TikTok and shorts and Ray William Johnson. But I completely agree with you, I hate this sort of "Self Censorship" thing where they change words from like Gun to "Pew Pew" or Killed to "Unalived", like I get if it's so they can make money of their videos but it's just very annoying to hear it done so yeah, I agree

I agree, though I don't blame the people who who operate under these restrictions, but instead the corporations and other powers that be that create the restrictions in the first place. In many ways, this is not a new phenomena... people creating cants and argots to avoid censorship has existed since censorship itself has existed, but its really prevalent with how homogeneous the field has gotten whenever their are a few ultra-wealthy, powerful entities which make alternatives hard to use on a realistic or practical level. Here is to hoping that the masses get too sick of this and are able to put much needed sanctions on these corporations and politicians, even if it requires some brute-forcing.

This is basically what Chinese Internet is like. They are constantly having to use homophones to bypass censors only to then have to use new substitute words, which then get banned, and so on.
It's an indictment of American society that we've all chosen to bend backwards to accomodate the censors for attention no matter what rather than collectively agree to move to alternative platforms. The algorithms and AI are not intelligent; they'll suspend and ban randomly even if you adhere to the vague rules of many sites. I've also noticed that this is a problem unique to American-made and designed social media sites; VK will report you to Roskomnadzor if you're in Russia and post something Putin doesn't like, but can't do anything otherwise.
As much as we all love to moan and whine about Trump (legitimately, mind you), we will never fully break free from the fear and censorship unless we find ways--whether creating entire new sites and platforms or flooding into existing alternatives (even if they're full of cranks)--to truly express outselves. After all, the algorithmic censorship was already a problem before last year's election.
