Everytime i see something about chess i remember a moment that took place in my old highschool

I was a quiet kid (still am), when they offered me to try out this group that took place in recess i though it may be a good idea (everyday i just wondered around moving in repetetive patterns this may actually break the tradition), i though they did stuff, but no, it was just a room where some people got reunited to talk about stuff, no chess or anything going on, they told the pro chess player of the group (literally the best one of the group, guys, did you wanted me to fail?) to play me on a friendly chess match, i lost quickly, ofc, got out of there instantly, never came back.

Theres many other stories i could talk about, many of them on this especific wretched highschool...
