I don't think I've ever mentioned it here but I sew my own clothes from time to time. I'm still a beginner but I still find it a lot of fun. Anyway, I made this vest yesterday!

Made the pattern myself and cut all the pieces very sloppily and I suffered the consequences of that as I was putting it together but I fixed it with my mom's help.
This was also what the kids call a "thrift flip". I usually don't do that but this time I had a very specific vision for this and I spent MONTHS going to all the fabric stores I knew of trying to find a good fabric and I couldn't so I went "fuck it I'll go to the thrift." And I found this button-up for $6. So I cut it up and made it into a vest. Which is reversible btw, but my camera kept shitting itself every time I tried to take a pic of the other side. It's just plain black so whatever.
I'm saving the sleeves and collar of the button-up for another project ;o)
