I just tried to access Spacehey from the UK on my phone and it came up with a message that I was "unable to access it" due to "requirements of age verification."
This is part of a new law in the UK whereby users of certain platforms will need to submit their ID to access platforms.
If some of your friends that are UK based don't respond, it is likely due to these restrictions.
And I recommend those in the UK to NOT submit a photo of their ID to places they don't trust.

I think if people are really attached to the app, it would be safer to use a free VPN rather than give their legal ID info to a random app!
Absolutely! I use the free vpn built into Opera... Another post explained more clearly why you should NOT be submitting any forms of ID
