Okay, so my cousin wants to take Korean in college, and we came up with the idea to both learn it, and we can help each other. I'm not in school, so I have to completely teach myself with nothing but textbooks and a dream, but so far I'm doing hella good.
I've been working on it for a few days, and already I am feeling like extreme amounts of joy because I am able to read hangeul (though I am still working on vocabulary, I can still read the syllables of sentences and signs and such). I am just too joyful that I can read a new language!! It's just like so exciting, seeing how much I learned already, and I'm looking forward to learnign so much more.
I will say, the advice that people give for learning Korean makes me feel like a Koreaboo (listening to Kpop, watching Kdramas, etc), it's kinda working with helping practice reading hangeul and the pronunciation of certain characters in the context of a sentence.
